Dr. Elizabeth Stevens

Dr. Stevens has a BSc. Hons. in Applied and Human Biology from Aston University in Birmingham, UK, where she focused on diabetes mellitus and completed a one-year professional placement at Pfizer Ltd. UK. Her PhD in Pharmacology/Physiology from Queen Mary, University of London, UK, is in the field of diabetic neuropathy, with completion of her research studies at the University California San Diego, USA. Following this, Liz worked as a Diabetes UK post-doctoral scientist on the immunology of clinical diabetes at Kings College, London. She published full papers in peer-reviewed international journals and was responsible for obtaining research grants.

In Germany Liz concentrates on scientific writing and publishing in her native English and works as a freelance writer, proofreader and advisor for academic research groups and small biotechnology companies. For this she utilizes her German language knowledge and intercultural, communication and organizational competences.

Her focus as a consultant for SilverSky Life-Sciences is on the acquisition of non-dilutive funding in the life science sector, bringing the benefit of her experience in international grant applications.
